Research Statement
My research primarily focuses on medical imaging and image processing, with a special emphasis on developing automated diagnostic systems using machine learning and deep learning methodologies. I am motivated by the growing need for early, accurate, and accessible diagnostic solutions for conditions such as valvular regurgitation, arrhythmias, and cardiac arrest, which are increasingly prevalent due to evolving lifestyle patterns in India. Through my work, I aim to design intelligent systems that can support clinicians by enhancing diagnostic precision and enabling timely intervention.
Beyond core medical imaging, my research interests encompass data mining, machine learning, and state-of-the-art deep learning architectures, including transformers, vision transformers (ViT), graph neural networks, explainable AI and self-supervised learning. I am also keen to expand my expertise into emerging computational paradigms such as Quantum Machine Learning, with the long-term goal of exploring its potential for solving high-dimensional and computationally intensive real-world problems.
In addition to healthcare applications, I actively engage with multidisciplinary research domains, including mental health analytics particularly emotion and sentiment analysis, and climate-related data forecasting. I am strongly committed to addressing societal challenges through AI-driven solutions that are robust, scalable, and ethically responsible.
