Abstract

This research assess the current status of GIs in the state of Meghalaya and the brand valuation of the same. Thereby identifying the gaps in the government’s attempts to commercialize agricultural GI products for the state. Learning through examples from the global south on IP regimes for the development of a robust legal or policy framework and to consequently help indigenous communities.
