Research Statement

Associate Professor Mia Mahmudur Rahim studied law and policy at the National University of Singapore, the University of Warwick, and Dhaka University. Macquarie University awarded him his PhD in Law. Before joining academia, he was a judge, a lawyer and a freelance legal researcher. Corporate governance, accountability and responsibility regulation are at the core of his research. Associate Professor Rahim is the author of Legal Regulation of Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR in Private Enterprises and the editor of Social Audit Regulation and Code of Conduct on TNCs. His forthcoming research monographs are about corporate criminal liability in environmental jurisprudence and legal regulation of foreign direct investment for social development.
