    Research Statement

My research work primarily focuses on the development of inventory and supply chain modeling problems in both crisp and fuzzy environments. Uncertainties in inventory modeling owing to dynamic market condition and impreciseness of several parameters often lead to non-deterministic situations. Therefore, in addition to constructing crisp inventory models, I also work in the fuzzy environment, particularly with type-2 fuzzy parameters.

Most importantly, increasing rate of environmental degradation being a serious issue in today’s growing economy, I aim at developing models which present a compelling opportunity to address the sustainability challenges while enhancing economic efficiency. Keeping this in mind, I have initiated the incorporation of the additional objective of overall emission minimization along with the traditional objective of cost minimization, thereby developing a bi-objective optimization model in supply chain network.

Throughout my academic journey as a Researcher in the field of Inventory Modeling and Supply Chain Management, my primary professional goal has always been to lead transformative research endeavours that contribute to sustainable solutions in global supply chains. I envision a future where businesses can operate in harmony with the environment, minimizing waste, conserving resources, and fostering societal well-being.
